WFW is a 9 WEEK Workshop series designed to push writers to connect to the heart of their story. WFW focuses on your writing goals, setting clear intentions and hard deadlines. She will gently, push you to dive deeper, dig, and really live inside of your story. The womb is a sacred place. The womb is the place where we conceive and give birth to an idea, a dream, a song or a story. The womb is where the heart of our story resides and where we hold our truth and together we will write from this place.
It is her privilege to be your Writing Midwife! For writers at all levels / Cross genres (This workshop is inclusive of all genders and open to the public)

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Alicia Anabel Santos is a Writer, Producer, Playwright, Speaker, Activist, Teaching Artist, Afrolatina Lesbian Storyteller and Priestess. She was born in Brooklyn and is a proud Dominican Writer. Founder of the New York City Latina Writers Group and is the 2018 recipient of the BRIO Award (Bronx Recognizes its Own) for fiction. She is a Cave Canem and VONA Voices of Our Nation Arts Foundation alum. In 2011, she published her memoir, Finding Your Force: A Journey to Love and her one-woman show I WAS BORN was part of the ONE Festival in New York. In 2008 Anabel joined Creador Pictures, as the Writer & Producer for the documentary series Afrolatinos The Untaught Story. She is currently working on a historical fiction memoir where she merges prose, poetry and witchcraft, and is simultaneously working on “I.D.G.A.F - I Don’t Give a Fuck”, a memoir that dissects three generations of rage. These days she can be found writing with senior citizens in the Bronx and Manhattan. She attended New York University and lives with her partner in the Bronx, New York.

Date for this class is January 26th. This class is for anyone who is interested in signing up for the Writing from the Womb 9 week workshop series. It is the only free class being offered. The class will be in both English and Spanish. Nine week workshop series starts February 2-April 19th, 2020
