Radical Collective Self-Care: A Community Offering

Join us for a powerful session dedicated to memory, creativity, and healing. Fotos y Recuerdos invites participants to explore personal and collective histories through visual storytelling, using photographs and collage as tools for ancestral veneration and cultural reconnection.

Led by facilitators Anyiné “Angie” Galván-Rodríguez and Dr. Judelysse Gomez, this session features invited speaker Sissy Rosso, a Dominican-American multi-media artist. Sissy will share her collage and photography work, guiding us through her artistic process and how it intersects with self and collective healing.

Participants will engage in reflective writing, visual art-making, and community dialogue, transforming memory into movement and art into archive. Grounded in the principles of radical self-care and community knowledge, this session offers a sacred space to uplift our creative voices and honor the healing power of remembering and making.
