Grief lives in our stories, our silence, our music, our kitchens. It visits when we least expect it—and sometimes never truly leaves. In the wake of personal and collective loss, writing can offer a space to process, honor, and remember.
In this generative writing workshop, we’ll reflect on what grief has taken—and what it has left behind. We’ll write through memory, ritual, sound, and presence. Inspired by Dominican ways of remembering—velorios, cuentos, altars, canciones—we’ll create space for honesty, softness, and story.
This workshop honors all who are grieving: for a loved one, a community, a home, or a version of life before loss.
