Centered around BIPOC writers, this taller (workshop) inspires us to leverage the beauty of our culture in our poetry. Whether through language fusion, historical references, musical elements and/or family traditions, together, we'll engage our creativity to flow freely, boldly. Guided by cultural connection, attendees will use writing exercises to explore and uplift themselves, as well as each other.
About the Facilitator:
Lola Rosario is a Nuyorican spoken word poet, freelance journalist, and translator whose work explores diaspora-displaced identity vis-à-vis colonization, patriarchy and racialization. Her first poetry collection, Daughter de Borikén (Editorial Pulpo) was released in August 2024. Her poems are featured in The Acentos Review, Thin Air Magazine, La Libreta.online, Angel City Review, and others. Her work is included in two anthologies: Latinas: Gender, Race & Class -
