2023 Writer's Salon Workshops Series

Más Que Mil Palabras is an image-driven writing workshop with prompts that invite various kinds of writing. In this workshop we will explore the memorable stories hidden behind photos. Writers are encouraged to bring with them one or two images that they would like to tell a story about.   This workshop is open to all!

Massiel Alfonso is a Dominican poet, storyteller, and author of her book Handful of Poems. Her book was awarded First Place in the Poetry Collections category of the 30th Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards. Massiel has recently been published in Dominican Writers Association Cuenticos Chapbook, La Libreta, Spanglish Voces, The Acentos Review, and more. She writes poetry to explore topics such as love, heartbreak, trauma, loss, and self-love.
