WORKSHOP PROPOSAL GUIDELINES FOR WRITERS

If you are interested in proposing a workshop to the Dominican Writers Association, please review the following requirements and provide the necessary information:

1. Number of Years Teaching Experience

Please indicate the total number of years you have been teaching, whether in formal educational settings or informal workshops. Include any relevant teaching certifications or qualifications.

2. Examples of Previous Writing Workshops

Provide a brief description of writing workshops you have previously facilitated. Include details such as the title of the workshop, a summary of the content, the target audience, and the format (e.g., in-person, online, one-time, or series).

3. Publications

List any publications where your work has been featured, such as books, articles, essays, or short stories. Include links to online publications or a brief summary of print publications, if available.

4. Experience Facilitating Workshops

Describe your experience in facilitating workshops. Include information on the age groups you have worked with and in what capacity (e.g., high school students, adult learners, professional writers). Highlight any specialized topics or genres you are proficient in teaching (e.g., travel writing, poetry, memoir).

5. Workshop Proposal Details

Title of the Workshop: A concise, engaging title that reflects the workshop's content. Objective: What do you aim to achieve through this workshop? Specify the learning outcomes for participants. Target Audience: Who is the workshop intended for? (e.g., beginner writers, advanced writers, specific age groups). Format and Duration: Specify the format (e.g., lecture, interactive, hands-on) and the duration of the workshop (e.g., 2 hours, half-day, multiple sessions). Materials Needed: List any materials that participants will need to bring or that you will provide.

6. Additional Considerations

If applicable, include any unique elements that make your workshop stand out (e.g., integration of multimedia, use of a particular methodology). Describe how you will engage participants and ensure an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
